Spraying and Back Rolling

Posted on May 13, 2019

Many people have asked whether we roll or spray. I follow that by asking, “Why do you ask?” The truth is, the majority don’t know and after I ask my question, they realize they don’t understand. There are applications for rolling, applications for brushes and applications for spraying.

Spraying is the most consistent way to apply a coat of paint. Once the nozzle is selected and the pressure is set, the same amount of paint will come through the nozzle when the trigger is pulled. When painting painting surfaces of different textures, back rolling would be necessary. In this short video below, we demonstrate the process of spraying and back rolling on a chimney (brick and mortar surface).
